Now really, I’ve been a runner since I first joined Albany Run Walk in August of 2011. I ran my first marathon in 2012 and since have completed a total of 3 full marathons and over a dozen half marathons. I also enjoy Tough Mudder and Ragnar Trail runs.
I have been the program director for Albany Run Walk since the 2015-2016 season.

A little more about Jeff Galloway. He’s a really nice guy and lives nearby in Atlanta. If you see him at an expo, a race, or even at Publix on a Saturday, tell him I said, “Hey!” and ask for a selfie.
Jeff Galloway finished second in the 10,000 meter run at the 1972 U.S. Olympic Trials, then deliberately went from third to fourth place in that year’s marathon trial to allow teammate Jack Bacheler to make the Olympic Team. He’s run over 100 marathons with a best of 2:16.
For the past twenty-five years, Galloway has trained ordinary people to run marathons. His program, which revolves around a progressively longer weekend run done with walking breaks, very low overall mileage, and walking breaks taken during marathon races, has drawn criticism from some competitive runners. Galloway, a special contributor to Runner’s World magazine, lives outside of Atlanta, runs about sixty miles a week, but no longer races seriously.
